Maria João Guedes is an Assistant Professor from the Management Department of ISEG da Universidade de Lisboa. Her areas of research interest lie in the intersection of corporate governance, top management characteristics, diversity, and what the effects on business performance and survival. Maria João Holds a PhD in Corporate Finance from Imperial College Business School, London, UK. Currently she is the Coordinator of the PhD in management and of the Master in Accounting.
